Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim @ Seattle Mariners (game 2)

The middle game of this series was a 6.10pm start.  And that's exactly when the Angels hitters began to tee off on the Seattle pitching staff.

Today, even more runs in the top of the 1st inning as the Angels batted around and scored 6, and for the first time in person, I saw back-to-back-to-back home runs from Calhoun, Trout & Pujols.

In fact, since Yunel Escobar was injured by the first pitch, Pennington was in the game immediately to pinch-run for him, and Pennington himself got an at-bat in the 1st inning as the Angels sent 10 different players to the plate in that inning.

However, this time the Mariners weren't able to overcome the early deficit, as they got two back in the bottom of the 1st, but Albert homered again as the Angels got 2 more.

Since there was no threat of rain this evening, I'd not bothered with a hat or coat, and it had become pretty chilly by the end of the game, even though it was only just after 9 o'clock.

I pity people scoring these games on their paper scorecards - in just these two games, we've seen a side bat around three times.

From this side of the press box, I had an excellent view and could see some of the buildings from downtown Seattle.  I could also see right into the Angels' dugout, as shown in the last picture.
