The games here start at odd half-hour offsets quite often, so tonight's game was at 6.40pm. I thought I'd left it late, leaving my hotel at 6.15pm, but in the end I got there in only twenty minutes through a combination of the 16th St Mall Ride and walking four blocks up Blake Street to Coors Field.
The building in question is the grey one between the left field stands and the main scoreboard.
Another strange feature of Coors Field is the way that the wind swirls around. Look at the flags on top of the scoreboard - two are pointing one way and the others are pointing the opposite direction! That makes judging fly balls quite hard for the outfielders.
There were very few runs or hits in the game, which consequently went by very quickly, with Tyler Anderson pitching for Colorado and Jeff Samardzija pitching for San Francisco both pitching into the late innings. However, the Giants managed to eke out a third run and hold on in the bottom of the 9th to clinch the game 3-2.
